Six unknown library music tracks
« on: December 30, 2020, 12:27:52 AM »
Hi there,

I hope someone can help me with these library tracks I recorded between 1990 and 1994 from TV-Promos and/or testcards from several channels before program launch.

Perhaps this track could be the end title of a film, I don't really know:

Thank you very much for listening. I appreciate your help.

What country and channels or programs are these from? I really like the last one. It vaguely reminds me of something from KPM or Carlin, maybe Sonoton.

Hi Retromatic,

thank you for listening and answering.
I really like instrumentals and therefore I recorded them wherever I could.
So this is what I  remember:

1)   It’s from Eurosport. And there’s also a tennis promo video on youtube I found, where the music was used (I hope I may post it):
https://youtu.be/Kzn1jpl3mQs?t=739

2 /3 ) This could be from the „Sky Preview Channel“ on the Astra satellite, about 1994 I think.

4) I can’t remember, perhaps also some Sky Promo/Trailer/Testcard-Music from 1992-1994

5) This is from a german TV Station (ZDF) played every day before the program started in the morning. There was a nice sunrise video of a town and this music was played.
(The music they played before the video started (Testcard) on that recording day were from „Berlin Prod. Music“ and „Happy Records“, but unfortunately I found nothing there.

6) This could be an ending title of a movie or series, because my recording starts with an end of a (movie/series-) dialogue and the music starts in the background. Possibly part of a soundtrack. Unfortunately I don’t remember the move/series.

I don’t know whether these infos can help or not. Certainly I tried to find the songs myself (Selected Sound / Berlin Production Music / KPM / Kosinus / Koka / Carlin / Cavendish / Sonoton / Bruton / Match / Parry / Chappell ).
But perhaps I missed the right track ? And you know, there are hundreds of libraries out there...

So every hint can help, thank you for your commitment.

Have you tried the Atmosphere library?

https://www.nslibrary.nichion.co.jp/albums?page=5&cat_search=ATMOS

Go straight to page 5 to get the 80s and 90s albums.

Thanks for the link, Herring Gull.

I already know this site and I certainly have listened to Atmos, but on the UPM site.
And I'm sorry that I forgot to mention it in my last post.
I have also listened to some SATV, Tele Music and Focus albums. I'm wondering, which other libraries Eurosport or Sky used in those years...
