3 obscure generic jingles
« on: October 10, 2020, 07:16:06 PM »
There are 3 tracks that I remember being used in commercials, which I now believe to have been generic jingles from libraries. I wonder if anyone knows about, and/or could upload, any of these:

There was a track where a male group sang, "The dependables, the dependables, the dependabllllles", before a local guy did the commercial. They sang the same thing near the end.

A generic ad where a man spent the whole time saying the different sections of a newspaper in the background - "community events" being one of the many of them - while a local DJ did the ad for a newspaper.

And one for western wear with a man singing "We've got what you want in western wear" near the end.

Any help with any one or more of these would be appreciated. Thanks!

Without a sound clip, can't be of any help here.

Yes with some form of an audio clip, there is a good chance a member may very well identify these.

I wish I could have an audio clip or something of this. Unfortunately, all I have are memories.

The problem with memories of jingles are going to be that 99% chance, the jingles themselves (vocals/what was being advertised) were probably local to your region or city. No one in another state or country would have even heard them in the day. However with an audio clip, a lot of times these jingles were custom made from a company, and the music itself may be ID-able by someone around here.

This might be the last one.. "We've Got The Western Wear":

(5 tracks because they're variations of vocals/instrumentals)

Well, that's not it, but at least you know what I was looking for - a generic jingle for something, in that case westernwear.
I would've saved myself some embarrassment if I put this in "requests", and phrased things differently.
Thanks very much!
