Can anyone guess or possibly discover the years on these? Contrary to my initial expectations these sound older than 80's, an area that I enjoy but am not an expert on.
It's incredible that the tracks are up to 8 minutes long. Pretty exceptional for being Japanese royalty-free content. Check them out!
I especially enjoyed the Four Seasons Winter track at the end.

Enjoy!

Wow! Where on earth did you get these?! Possibly the biggest and most rare gem to come through LMT in years. Thanks much for these. I'd love to know who the artists/composers are and if you can get hold of any more of these, especially the upper numbers from #30 and on. To answer your question on era/years of this music..here's my estimated guess based on production, styles, recording acoustics, etc :

# 11 and 12 : mid - late 1960's through very early 70's

#13 : Early 70's..probably between 1971 - 1973

#31 : Mid - late 70's between 1975 - 1977 with the last tune going back to mid - late 60's.

#32 : Late 70's between 1977 and 1978

#33 : Late 70's between 1977 and 1978

These were probably from Yahoo Japan. I have to say they could have vanished forever had I not nabbed them in time. I've certainly been keeping an eye out for more of these.

Fascinating! Thanks, Retromatic!

I know we have a few members here in Japan. Would be nice to have translations of the tracklists above.

Google is giving me this info: Tomoyoshi Nakamura Video Studio Co., Ltd. Koenjikita, Suginami-ku, Tokyo

These pieces all appear to have been edited to make them longer. Personally, for listening purposes I'd edit them down to under 4 minutes each... but some of you will be shouting "sacrilege!"

I expect they were edited so they could be used as ready made backing for long video sequences.

So... Does anyone know if these are truly copyright free, and/or free of royalty/legal issues. etc.?
