Tele Music on Spongebob?
« on: October 04, 2020, 07:10:44 PM »
I guess tracks from Tele Music were used in some episodes of SpongeBob. One of the versions of the album Jazz Panorama has the label TRF Music, and some TRF tracks were used in the series. Does someone Know if this label has tracks of SpongeBob? This is the link: https://app.bmgproductionmusic.co.uk/labels/7133?sort=newest

Please ignore the albuns Hidden Hit Makers Sample Challenge and Tele Music, 30 Classics French Music Library, Vol 1, because I am sure they have not been used.

The link is the Tele Music Classic Vaults label, that relaunches some Tele Music albums released on LP.

I hope you find something!

I heavily doubt that "SpongeBob" has used Tele Music. In 1998 (year after the show's pilot was produced) the US rights to Tele Music shifted from TRF to the label's then newly-founded US branch, JRT Music (http://web.archive.org/web/20050210084227/http://www.jrtmusic.com/jrt/about.jsp).

For proof, here are the scans from two issues Broadcasting & Cable Yearbook posted on World Radio History - including info about the labels TRF distributed in the United States at the time:
1. B&C 1997: https://worldradiohistory.com/hd2/IDX-Business/Annuals/Archive-BC-YB-IDX/90s-OCR-YB/1997-YB/1997-BC-YB-OCR-Page-1177.pdf (Tele Music name is still present)
2. B&C 1998: https://worldradiohistory.com/hd2/IDX-Business/Annuals/Archive-BC-YB-IDX/90s-OCR-YB/1998-YB/1998-BC-YB-OCR-Page-1249.pdf (Tele Music is no longer mentioned in TRF's repertoire)
