Roman Empire / Orpheus - Piano Elegy
« on: August 24, 2020, 11:54:18 AM »
Hi !

I'm still trying to identify the references of this very beautiful piece of music:

https://youtu.be/4lwUdIQUZ70

To me, it's an extremely slow elegiac and minimal piano piece with some monotonous strings in the background. Then the main piano melody is joined by a violin. It kinda reminds me of Arvo Pärt's "Spiegel im Spiegel". I'm pretty sure this music is from the 20th century, released in the 50's or 60's. However, it's too ambient for being a classical piece, I guess.

For those interested, the original Swiss TV documentary is available here: https://www.rts.ch/archives/tv/culture/homme-a-la-recherche-de-son-passe/11532018-lempire-romain.html (timing: 18:04 - 22:24)

Thanks a lot for your precious help !
Best wishes from Lausanne, Switzerland.
