Listening now. A fine comp, Cymande. Hawkshaw's "Fuel Injection" is one of my all-time favorite tunes from the BRL series.

Great mix, Cymande! Transitions too. I guess you used DJ software for the beat matching- still not trivial with fully analog music. I'm a Traktor user myself — no elastic beat grids like Ableton Live or Serato, which is a real pain sometimes.

The tracks I didn't find easily were:
Robotics - Paul Hart
Lubricator- Irving Martin /Brian Dee
Insistence - Brian Bennett

Do you have albums for those? Thanks!

Thanks for comments and yeah Stacks Injection is a beast!
Kimhill I use virtual DJ after burning my vinyl into WAV format which is about as technical as I get, in fact I'm surprised I've taken it this far..but a compilation is a good way to wade through your stash again and find tracks you've slept on. Insistence is music machine,Lube is light industry and Robotniks (my spelling bad) is mechanisation. Ive read, like at KPM the boss Robin Phillip's helped out a lot when naming the tracks after they were in the "can,"must have been a fine job he had

Thanks for the feedback, Cymande. I've worked as a DJ in NYC, and it's the reason I got into library music- not too far from chill/lounge/retro to library, and I was playing library music before I really knew what it was. I checked out VirtualDJ just now & it's come a long way since the last time I looked!

Good point, Cymande- truth is, I'd gotten lazy about online content, but in the COVID era, that's shaping up as the only venue! COVID has pretty much stopped the normal DJ biz. Glad it's not a full-time thing for me. BTW I'd been wondering if your name came from the 70s funk group. Vintage R&B/Funk is one of my specialties- I'm a fan & have often played their stuff.

Aye. Damn you covid..although there are some positives to all this mess but I wont bore you with them... Cymande indeed one of the few commercial funk uk bands that are really decent...what we lacked in  with uk funk "bands" I think we made up with library funk session players :)

Fair point. Must have had my head up my arse about 70/80's funk.
