Xylos Inc. - Pretty Percussion (1971)
Here is a rather good easy listening record for those who like xylophones, triangles, eggs, marimbas, chimes, bells, glockenspiel,
vibraphones and other assorted percussion. It also has a grand orchestra thrown in and some intricate and interesting arrangements.
Arranged and conducted by Pete Smith, produced by Irving Martin (whom we know from
many a Bruton library LP). A good find from my sojourn in easy listening country, I thought.
A neglected gem? My fave so far is A5.
(Should be listened to away from doorbells and grandfather clocks to avoid
confusion of the mind.)

I realize this should be placed in the non-library section. Can anybody move it?

Mushroom house and mushroom timpanis...you really got me excited here... 8]...

...a good find indeed...very elaborated percussion album for a not necessarily "easy listening" session...

Thanks Tuneboy for this nice discovery!

Thanks for sharing! Agreed, that sleeve looks like something out of Gong's discography, haha.

Sleeve artist Dave Roe also did covers for Jon Anderson and Nazareth, so he's got form in this area.

Anything with Pete Smith and Irving Martin is worth a listen, and I really like this one too - though I remain convinced the only reason Polydor did this album was so they could have an artist for X on their 'A-Z Of Easy Listening' compilation!
