Cartoon sounding track, 1976 or earlier
« on: April 29, 2020, 06:04:49 PM »
Hello all,

I am attempting to identify the following track taken from a recording of a loop played at Disney World in August 1991.

I was able to Shazam the song, and it matched up to "Charlie Chipmunk Show" by Bob & Ray (the first 12 seconds match). This then goes into a Bob & Ray radio bit that the listed album says was recorded from 1946 to 1976.

Because this track was licensed by multiple sources, I have to assume this was a library track from somewhere. Any help finding this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Lando

Sounds somewhat similar to Johnny Pearson's 'Kindly Leave The Stage', beginning at the :23 mark.  I wonder if it is another Johnny Pearson piece...

Thanks for the reply. That part does sound really similar. I took a look at the KPM library available on APM Music's website, but I didn't find anything there at least searching through tracks released before 1976 that were 1:40 to 1:50 long. I also took a look at the rest of the album you linked, and it isn't on there, either.

I have to imagine this didn't get digitally reissued since Shazam only picked up that Bob & Ray bit and not the original piece. I tried multiple sections of the song, and later parts that went unused by Bob & Ray didn't turn up any matches.

Thanks, Doug! Love that track and also think it's great it's been ID'd! I actually thought this was something from Dennis Farnon for some reason, maybe it was the saxes(?).
