•    ??? Bird: Apparently Mitchel typed the sheets he sent me from a handwritten or faded original - hence the missing word. If someone stumbles across this LP, the answer will become obvious.
•    Par Boom de Fond: French title which translates roughly to "Boom by the Bottom."
•    Ciel de Glace: French title. "Sky of Ice." The previous two "Glace" tracks - "Caverne de Glace" and "De Sert de Glace" translate to "Cavern of Ice" and "The Uses of Ice," respectively. Obviously a theme going on here.
•    Stalactites et Stalagmites: French title. "Stalactites and Stalagmites."
•    The Gonk: Legendary, well-known mall "Muzak" jingle heard over the closing credits. This is the only track easily isolated from the film, despite some sound effects in the mix.
•    Ragtime Razzmatazz: Very likely the playful music heard during the pie-fight sequence.
•    Cause I'm a Man: Twangy, country-style tune heard during the posse sequence. Written and performed by Peter Reno, this track was originally released on the LP pictured above, Electric Banana. Interestingly, the majority of this album - aside from an instrumental version of this song and two versions of a cut called "Free Love," also by Reno - is a collection of tunes by the sixties rock band Pretty Things, who recorded a series of albums under the Electric Banana pseudonym for DeWolfe. Best of all, the vocal version of "Cause I'm a Man" slipped through the cracks and was accidentally included on a German CD release of Pretty Things: Electric Banana. This 1991 disc is fairly rare, but worth the search if you crave this particular song.
•    We Are The Champions: Obviously not the Queen song; probably a rousing action track, possibly the "Peter fights his way to the roof" tune heard at the end of the film.
•    Proud Action: More likely, this was the "fighting to the roof" theme, judging by the name, or maybe the catchy "blocking the entrances" tune. We'll never know without comparison.

We take for granted now the knowledge we have but this makes me reminiscent of a time when we knew barely anything and were digging in the dark- I still see 'Par 300 Mètre De Fond' being refered to as 'Par Boom de Fond'.    So to celebrate this I have collated more tracks to create a volume of the 'Unused Tracks' or the abandoned tracks.  Most of these appeared on a hand written list and no doubt were dubbed in at some point and likely replaced with something else as Romero edited in post production.  Some of this process is discussed in the book that comes with the new Second Sight Blu Ray/4K set, which has a chapter or two on the library music where the guy says he had this handful of De Wolfe records and he was dubbing stuff that he thought George would like and passing it to him.   The Goblin music came in to the mix quite late when much of the material was already dubbed.

If you're a Dawn fan and also have an interest in wider library music you'll find these tracks thematic in theme and from the same era, so certainly in keeping.  'Speed' did make the grade and is heard in another Romero film (The Crazies or Knightriders).

Nice one. I’m awaiting a few sound effects records so was hoping this would be on there. Will have a listen after work.

I don't suppose you own the Major Records - Sound Effects Volume 8 LP by any chance, Retronic? I would love to have a go at mixing the animal noises with the African drums to match the film.

That sounds great! :)

According to a Discogs user, the African Drums, African Native Work Chant tracks were combined with Tiger Roaring and Snarling and Chimpanzee and Orangutan.
