Lexboro,

I'd be interested! Are any of the artist/composer names listed on these reels? I'll also send a PM your way. Thanks!

Seconding, haven't seen lots of these listed around and I'm really interested in hearing the Phil Green and William Loose stuff on them.

I'd be interested in hearing Reel D-47/Reel D-48
Someone gave me a rip of D-47 once and it is my absolute favorite!
I've never hear the D-48 side.

How thrilling.

Thanks,

Your Pal Doug

Thanks for the additions. Absolutely, sign me up!

I have a large collection of photos of both labels and reel boxes I can share with you if you'd like :)

Yes, I'm really interested!
I noticed that there are sometimes three different types of reels: 1st issue, 2nd re-issue, 3rd BMI. All three editions can differ in the number of tracks, titles and composer.
That is the reason that I would like to take all of your Hi-Q photos. I compare them with mine, check them for issue, select the best ones and make the "library" available for everyone to download. This helps many more than this list.

If anyone has photos of the Hi-Q series, please send them to me or make them available for download.
It will be available for everyone to download in about 2 weeks.

I have already shared the D-series in SLSK (I have the same name there as here). Unfortunately the quality of the tracks is not always the best :( I am so sorry for this !
I started to share the L-series. M, S and X come step by step.

Yeah - I've noticed that as well. Some reel numbers are also repeated, with different cues entirely. I'm guessing there was an original (retracted) version, and subsequent reusage of the same reel number for related material.

I'll see if I can collect all my images together and share them here for everyone's viewing pleasure. It's far from complete, but a good starting point I think.

Here it is:
hxxps://www70.zippyshare.com/v/BdysW1Jy/file.html

Labelling system should be self evident; reel name followed by an underscore and a letter; A/B for front/rear of vinyl sleeve/box, C/D for A- and B-side labels and so on.
I'll add that all the info from these images has already been added to the catalogue listing found here.

For you shares, you should start a 'mega' thread in the Library Vinyl and CD rips sub-forum and collect them there :)

Thank you so much !
Igot it and had a look at your fotos. And, yes, "Roots Vinyl Guide" is a very good source  ;) So I believe we have more then 60% the same fotos.... Anyway, I will start to compare all and think about a labeling system for "dummies".

There were also Cadkin and Bluestone tracks when first introduced in 1956. They were originally from the C & B Music Library (now Musi-Que). Before a rights dispute caused their tracks to be removed from the library. As evident in a re-issue of Reel D-13/D-14 where there is a new tracklist and a new composer.
