Here's a link to WAV Vinyl Rip of Gianni Safred's Futurible electronic Holy Grail:

mega.nz/folder/kc8hAaCB#tJ6qnzcOzxu_7VviQsqnqg

I always assumed it came from the original 1978 Music Scene
Release:
https://www.discogs.com/Gianni-Safred-His-Electronic-Instruments-Futuribile-The-Life-To-Come/release/1716775

But now I'm wondering if the Rip was sourced from the 1980 Folkways Reissue:
https://www.discogs.com/Gianni-Safred-His-Electronic-Instruments-Futuribile-The-Life-To-Come/release/903678

Unfortunately, the link to the MP3 file on this post is down so I've nothing to compare it to sound/track length wise.

Now coming to the 2019 Four Flies Reissue! Unfortunately the links to the lossless version in previous posts are down so I've only got the samples at Qobuz to compare to each other, but the difference in sound quality is compelling as the FF Reissue seems so much of a fuller sound (and it's cheaper than the Folkways digital release!) :

1980 Folkways version:
https://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/futuribile-the-life-to-come-gianni-safred/0829410761260

2019 Four Flies version:
https://www.qobuz.com/gb-en/album/futuribile-the-life-to-come-gianni-safred/vjk62kw6vovic

So there seems to be three different releases of the album (more if you include the 1978 Portuguese issue and the 2007 Folkways CD Reissue).

If anyone can repost a link to the Four Flies lossless version that Oliverino provided that would be great (perhaps someone could say whether it's the digital release or a rip of the vinyl Reissue!)

Hope this post isn't too confusing, it makes sense in my mind, which can be a dangerous thing!

As I haven't been here for a long time since April, I missed the forum and updates.

I could not pass by this is one of my favorite albums ) Thanks for showing me this version!

Got it - 2019 Four Flies version: (7 days acess)

But i don't like this, sound quality is perfect but music balance is not good enough. The album was recorded in the technique of the classical Moog composers Hyman (1968) or the same Safred (1973), then this technique was used by Moroder. it lies in the fact that the instruments are rigidly divided into a panorama, the leading synthesizer can be on the left, and on the right, special sound layers, and in the center is a neutral, for example the drum part, bass.In another version, I have all this in place, the left synthesizer is on the left, the right sounds on the right, in the 2019 version, the sound engineer deliberately brought the channels together, the leading synthesizer is now both left and center, the layers are also superimposed on each other, which for a modern listener is good, but it gave me some dissonance. Also on the album, for some reason, they made a significant compression of the original sound. My version (I think it's a CD edition from the 2000s) sounds nicer, not harsh.

Third version (from CD i think Folkways Records ‎– FX 6253)

That was fast! Many thanks, Neowave -

Having had a quick listen, I can definitely say the Four Flies digital version is far superior sound wise - I'm really starting to think that the WAV version I posted is ripped from the Folkways release, though I guess until an original Music Scene Rip surfaces it's not definitive.

PS > It shows how far things have come in the library sharing community, I remember when I first came across Gianni Safred's Futurible, it would have been a 128/192 lossy MP,3 Rip from somewhere like Painted On Silence or Paul Durango's blogs - and I remember been so happy to hear it at all!

Five years ago, music was more difficult to access, now there are many good publishers and people who are not indifferent to this kind of music, who are trying to refresh and present to society new or improved samples, previously heard in low quality or not heard at all.

Above, I shared my feelings about the new 2019 release of the same album and shared the third version from my music library.

Hey neowave- just missed your 7-day window. Any chance of another 7 days? ;)

I'm interested in the version where the instruments are not separated — full-left and full-right. I find that more pleasant for headphone listening, even if it doesn't reflect the original recording. I wasn't clear on which version that was above…  Thanks!

Please check. I no longer share the link, the album is everywhere in streaming services and is available for listening.
