Emil Ascher Promotional Disc
« on: April 17, 2020, 01:07:04 AM »
Does anyone know the names, or the whereabouts, of any of the cues in this promotional disc?

As mentioned in the disc itself, the Emil Ascher library contains music from:
Conroy, Video Moods, Impress, FDH Mood Music, Paxton, Harmonic, and JW Theme Music.

So that gives us a general idea over where these cues may have been licensed from.

Thank you!

The "documentary" music at 0:29 is "Investiture" by Bruce Campbell, originally from the Conroy label. The comedy stinger at 5:09 is part of a track called "Noises Off" by Ronald Binge, from the JW Theme Music library. Both are currently offered by the APM library.

Thanks so much! I'm most interested in finding the cue that begins at 2:37. It certainly sounds like the kind of cue that would've been used in those older cartoons

I don't know the song that plays at 2:37, but I know the song that plays between 4:56 and 5:01. The song is called "Here's Now", composed by John Max, originally released on the Paxton label. This song was re-released in the 90's on the Atmosphere Archive label. Unfortunately, this song is no longer available on the label owner's official website, Universal Production Music, but I managed to find this track on the Soulseek app. I made the song available for download.

Thanks so much for that! I recall hearing "Here's Now" in its entirety on an OK Used Cars commercial from 1960, alongside a few Conroy tracks (Dennis Berry's "Bargains Galore" ends the commercial).  You can hear "Here's Now" from 0:16-0:23.

From what I can gather, the song from 1:03 is Mutations No.1 by Trevor Duncan from the Conroy Library: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRYgWFibAoA

I think this track could be Frivolous Flutes by Van Phillips from the Conroy library.
