Hi all, wondering if anyone can help.

This one has eluded me for a while now so I thought I'd bite the bullet and ask here. I'm trying to ID a track from the 1998 Formula One review DVD, kindly uploaded to YouTube by Racing Sport here (I would embed it but Formula One Management, the copyright owner, forbids that):

https://youtu.be/8iuy04lyglc?t=148

Above link has timestamp with the location of the track I'm trying to ID. It's obscured by a bit of engine noise, but there's a longer version at this point in the video:

https://youtu.be/8iuy04lyglc?t=7653

I understand if the engine/voiceover makes it hard to impossible to conclusively identify but I've been racking my brains on this one for months! At the very least, it must be before 30/11/1998, as that was when the VHS originally released, and it's 120BPM-ish (I measured it - and searched multiple libraries using 119-121 but got nothing).

Thanks in advance!

This could be a shot in the dark but it might be Focus, Match, Carlin, Chappell, Atmosphere, Cavendish, Unity, JW Media Music, Bosworth, Telemusic, Image Music, Amphonic, Claire, Music For Sport...Try BMG Netherlands or Nichion Sounds Library as they have a lot of discontinued albums. And this is probably an underscore version which is why it isn't being recognized. I would also widen the search to 110-122bpm.

Thanks for the reply, never heard of half of these so it's good to have more to search in!

I did also find a better version - about 20s uninterrupted, in this video. (0:24 onwards)

Thanks for the cleaner version, I really dig this track. I feel like I've heard this one before...but that could just be my memory playing tricks on me. It mostly sounds like an Atmosphere, Carlin or Music House cue. Parry might also be worth a shot. But there's also a chance that it's not library music at all. It seems like it would fit in an ocean/water-themed album. For instance the instrumentation here is very similar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiWKsX6dW1g&t=235s

Been keeping on this one - but fairly extensive searches of De Wolfe, Carlin, Bruton, Atmosphere, and Match via the BMG/Chappell/APM/Universal sites have given no results yet.

It definitely feels like it should be Carlin IMO - especially considering other Carlin tracks are featured on the DVD, but that might just be confirmation bias...
